1.How payments work on UnifyOps
UnifyOps is a marketplace where brands find and hire content creators. It is operated by Raghav Mittal as an individual in India. UnifyOps isn't the seller of the work and isn't a party to the deal: when a brand hires a creator, the contract is between the two of them.
- The brand pays the creator directly, by UPI, PayPal or bank transfer, using the payment details the creator has added to UnifyOps. The brand sees them on the contract page after the hire.
- UnifyOps never holds, receives or forwards deal money. We can't see, confirm, stop, reverse or refund a payment between a brand and a creator.
- Each project is priced in Indian rupees (₹) or US dollars (US$), fixed when the contract is created, and the brand pays exactly that price.
This policy works together with our Terms of Service, including the Standard project terms between brand and creator, and our Delivery Policy.
2.No fees during early access
- Brands pay 0% and creators pay 0% to UnifyOps. The brand pays the creator exactly the agreed price, and the creator keeps all of it.
- Because UnifyOps charges nothing and never receives deal money, there is no fee, charge or payment for UnifyOps to refund, and no cancellation fee.
- There are no subscriptions or recurring charges, so there's nothing to cancel later.
If we introduce fees. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email and on the pricing page before any fee takes effect, show it before you hire, and never apply it to a contract agreed before it takes effect. If a fee we charge ever needs refunding, this policy will say how.
3.Paying a creator
- Where to find the details. After the hire, the contract page shows the brand the creator's payment details: a UPI ID, a PayPal address or a bank account, whichever the creator has added. They're shown only to a brand with a current contract with that creator.
- When to pay. Agree it in the deal room before work starts. A common split is 50% at the start and 50% on approval. For a first deal with someone new, don't pay 100% upfront. If you haven't agreed, the full price is due within 7 days after the work is approved, including automatic approval.
- Record it. After paying, the brand taps “I've paid” on the contract page and can add the reference (a UPI reference or UTR, a bank reference or a PayPal transaction ID). The creator taps “Received” once the full agreed price has arrived. Both sides see the record. We don't check it against any bank or PayPal record.
- Payment costs. Each side pays its own bank, UPI or PayPal charges, including currency conversion, unless you agree otherwise in the deal room.
- Taxes and invoices. If the brand needs an invoice, the creator provides it. UnifyOps doesn't issue invoices or receipts for deals, and doesn't collect or deduct tax on them.
4.Paying safely, and the risks
- Pay only to the details on the contract page, and check that the name your UPI app, bank or PayPal shows matches the creator.
- Be wary of payment details sent by message or email, a sudden change of details, or a request to pay someone else. Check in the deal room before paying.
- You only enter your UPI PIN to send money, never to receive it. UnifyOps never asks for your UPI PIN, OTP, card number, bank login or PayPal password, and never asks anyone to pay UnifyOps for a deal. A message asking you to pay UnifyOps is a scam: report it.
A direct payment is between you and the person you pay. UnifyOps doesn't guarantee that a brand will pay or that a creator will deliver, and can't recover money that was paid to the wrong person, lost to fraud or not returned. Choose a payment schedule you're comfortable with, and keep your payment receipts.
5.Cancelling a project
- Before a contract starts: a brand can withdraw a direct offer and a creator can decline it. Nothing is owed.
- The creator withdraws: a creator can cancel from the contract page while the work is in progress.
- Nothing delivered on time: if nothing has been delivered more than 2 days after the due date, the brand can cancel from the contract page. Due dates end at 23:59 UTC. Once anything has been delivered, this option closes.
- Anything else: a contract that has started ends when the work is approved, or if both of you agree to stop. To stop by agreement, say so in the deal room and use “Report a problem”, and we'll close the contract.
Cancelling closes the contract on UnifyOps. It doesn't move any money: see the next section for money already paid.
6.Getting money back
Any refund comes from the creator, not from UnifyOps, because the brand paid the creator. Unless the two of you agreed something different in the deal room, the Standard project terms apply:
- The creator withdraws, or nothing is delivered and the brand cancels: the creator returns everything the brand paid for the contract within 7 days.
- The work is late, deficient or not what was agreed: ask for a revision first. If that doesn't fix it, the creator offers a fair full or partial refund. A delay caused only by events outside anyone's control isn't, on its own, a reason for a refund.
- You change your mind after work has started: agree with the creator what's owed for the work already done.
- After approval and full payment the deal is complete. Any refund after that is between you.
A refund goes back the way you agree, usually the same way the brand paid. The creator should share the reference so the brand can find it. Your bank, UPI app or PayPal may apply its own charges or exchange rate, and may take a few days to show the money.
7.If something goes wrong
- Talk in the deal room. Brands and creators reply to each other's complaints within 48 hours.
- Ask for a revision if a delivery doesn't match the brief. This pauses automatic approval.
- Use “Report a problem” on the contract page, or email hello@tryunifyops.com with the contract name.
A person at UnifyOps looks at every report. We reply within 2 business days, review the brief, the contract, the messages, the deliveries and the paid/received record, may ask both sides for more information, and suggest a fair way forward. Reporting a problem pauses automatic approval while the report is open. We close every report within one month.
We can't reverse, refund, hold or force a payment, and our suggestion doesn't bind either side. If someone breaks our Terms, for example by taking payment and neither delivering nor returning it, we may warn them, limit, suspend or close their account. You keep all your other rights, including your payment provider's process (below), a consumer commission or a court.
8.Automatic approval
After each delivery, the brand has 5 days to approve the work or ask for a revision. If the brand does neither, the work is approved automatically once 5 days (120 hours) have passed since the latest delivery, as if the brand had approved it. A revision request or an open report pauses this, and a new 5-day window starts when the creator delivers again. Approval doesn't move any money: the brand pays as agreed, and the usage rights pass to the brand once the work is approved and paid for in full (Terms).
9.Payment problems and chargebacks
UnifyOps can't see or change payments. If a payment fails, goes to the wrong account, is taken by fraud, or you want to dispute it, go to the company that handled it. Tell us too, so we can warn the other side and act on accounts.
- UPI: raise a complaint in your UPI app (usually from the transaction in your history), then with your bank. If it isn't resolved within 30 days, you can complain to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in.
- Bank transfer: contact your bank. The same RBI Ombudsman route applies if your bank doesn't resolve it.
- PayPal: use the Resolution Center in your PayPal account. PayPal's own protection programmes cover some payments, under PayPal's rules; personal (“friends and family”) payments aren't covered.
If you start a chargeback or a payment dispute, say so in the deal room so the record stays complete. Using one to take back a payment for work you approved and kept breaks our Terms.
10.For creators
- Add your payment details in Settings. They're yours to keep accurate: we can't recover a payment a brand sent to details you gave us by mistake.
- Tap “Received” once the full agreed price has arrived. Only mark what's true.
- Ask to be paid only to the details on the contract page. If they change, update them in Settings and tell the brand in the deal room.
- If you withdraw, or don't deliver and the brand cancels, return what the brand paid within 7 days.
- You never pay to get work on UnifyOps. Report anyone who asks you to.
